Rhetorical Precis #1

In her article online, “What Happened when I Confronted My Cruellest Troll”(Feb 2, 2007), Lindy West argues that women are easy targets for internet trolls.West supports her claim by talking about her experience and quoting the troll’s reason for why she did what she did, which was because she was woman it was easier. The purpose of this online article is to show the victim’s perspective in order to help prevent/stop trolling. The author’s audience were trolls and victims of trolling and she makes an emotional connection with the audience.
