A Court of Thorns and Roses
For first period I am reading the book A Court of Thorns and Roses. This book takes place in a fantasy land. The main characters name is Feyre, she lives in the mortal realms with her father and two sisters. She made a promise to her mom on her death-bed that she will take care of her sisters and her disabled father, and so she kept her promise. One day she was hunting in the woods looking for food her family desperately needed. She came across a deer that was easy prey. But behind the deer in bushes she spotted a huge wolf, bigger than any wolf she had seen. The wolf locked onto the deer and was ready to strike but feyre needed the food for her family but felt so unsure if she could kill that wolf. Then she remembered the ash arrow she had in her quiver. A heavy duty arrow that can weaken a faerie. As the wolf striked she did too taking out the wolf with two arrows in quick succession. With this victory she took the deer meat and hide home to eat and sell. A couple days passed and into her house broke a beast, a faerie. Ginormous and filled with rage it wondered which of the family had killed the wolf. Ferye with fear in her heart said she did. The beast later known as Tamlin told her how she had disobeyed the treaty that was between faeries and mortals. The punishment was the cost of a life, but Tamlin introduced a loophole. This loophole was to cross the gates into Prynthian with him and never return. With much thought she accepted. But why did Tamlin offer her such a luxurious passage? When she arrives why does he treat her like an important guest? How is feyre coping with this situation? What's the nuisance tearing apart Pryntian? This book is highly interesting especially for those in fantasy, action, and romance.
